Summary & Analysis of Standard (50 points)

  • Summary, including the importance, of each standard is well-written (15 points)
  • Substantial reflection on the characteristics of the standards pertaining to the middle school grades is included (i.e., opinions/ideas regarding the significance and application of the standard, etc.) (15 points)
  • Specific evidence is provided in the comparison analysis and references are cited.

Summary & Analysis of the Curricular Materials (50 points)

  • Critical evaluation of curriculum/text regarding the specific standards is well-supported (10 points)
  • Overall description of the curriculum/text is included (10 points)
  • Analysis (with evidence) of your standard-specific chapters includes: (20 points)
    • Quality of content
    • Age Appropriateness
    • Quality of material
  • The effectiveness of the curriculum is articulated (10 points)

Lesson Activity & Presentation (50 points)

  • Presentation is organized (i.e., good use of time, well-paced, etc.) (20 points)
  • Activity illustrates and relates to content and process standards (10 points)
  • Activity is grade-appropriate (10 points)
  • Project is accessible and is properly formatted on-line. On-line layout is organized and easy to navigate. (10 points)
