1) Discussion of textbook
Your assignment is to discuss among yourselves the three major
ideas from the assigned chapters as indicated below. Then report to the
rest of the class one important idea from these chapters that you can use
with your students.
2) Sample and population: statistical ideas Note especially formulas (yes, there are two versions) for calculating variance and standard deviation. They give different results.
3) Presentation of your project--'dry run' for April 27
4) Final exam -- You will be asked to write a paper on an assigned topic.
