Notes about the textbooks:
- We will deal with both the Brahier text and the NCTM text in their entirety, so begin reading as you are so inclined.
- At the end of each chapter is a Glossary; it is a useful guide for developing your professional vocabulary. As the course proceeds, we will expect to see these words emerge in your oral and written work.
- At the end of each chapter, you will find Bibliographic References and Resources. Take note of these; they can be of great use to you as a teacher seeking resources and support.
- The Discussion Questions in the text raise some key questions and will guide your reading. However, the course will have some revised versions of those questions for assignments. You will find the revised questions in the Notes for Each Week links. Please respond formally to the revised questions, as indicated.
- This course is much more technology-intensive than the books suggest. The texts are only starting points.
