The overarching goal of the curriculum plan is to help students develop mathematical knowledge, understanding, and skill as well as an awareness and appreciation of the rich connections among mathematics and their real life. Specifically, we hope that

• Students will develop an adequate beliefs about the nature of mathematics.
• Students will use appropriate technology to facilitate their learning.
• Students will build a community of learners in which they work collaboratively.
• Students can communicate mathematically.
• Students can understand problems, develop problem-solving strategies, and propose solutions supported by reason and evidence.
