Goals

  1. Develop curriculum which reflects the spirit of the NCTM Standards
  2. Teach functions and derivatives from a constructivist point of view
  3. Write a curriculum that emphasizes student understanding of concepts.
  4. Incorporate technology where it adds value to student learning.
  5. Write the website in such a way that other teachers could recreate the curriculum in their classrooms.

  • Mathematics needed for curriculum and types of problems using those mathematics
  • Working toward using different modalities (visual, kinesthetic, aural) in as much of the lessons as possible.
  • Lessons using graphing calculator utilities of the computer and web.
