A packet of required reading will be available, but students will select additional printed and electronic readings to satisfy weekly assignments. All students will become acquainted with national and international reports on the statues of mathematics education and the NCTM and Illinois Standards. Doctoral students will delve into research via leading mathematics education research journals and proceedings and masters students will delve into practice via leading teacher journals and action research writings.
