HOP TO IT! THE RABBIT PROBLEM

Suppose one January you got one pair of little bunnies:

And suppose that by February they became adult rabbits:

Further suppose that in March the original pair had a pair of babies:

In April, the original pair has another set of babies and the first set has matured into adults:

If this pattern continues, (babies mature the second month and produce new babies the third month) how many PAIRS of rabbits will you have by the end of December?

(Here's a hint: It might help to draw a picture, or make a diagram, or use a table or chart of some kind.)
