In the year 2000, Lucas Arts Films is scheduled
to release the fourth movie in the series of Indiana
Jones adventures. Really--I am not making this up...check
it out here!
There is a computer and video game of Indiana Jones
adventures (you can download a trial version at Lucas_Arts
Entertainment) and they are beginning to make plans
to update the game based on the new movie. The problem
for this module is to help them out with one of the
features of the video game.
Here's the deal!:
In the new Indy Jones video game, suppose the authors
want to build in a specific feature in one of the game's
action "rooms" or "scenes". The authors want the game to
have a trap in this room where, if certain conditions are
met, a bomb explodes in the room and the player dies,
thus losing his/her turn. But we have to be slick about
it...we have to make sure that whatever conditions that
trigger the bomb explosion appear to be random; yet, it
is not random at all.
Your job is to build a logic circuit that will
trigger the bomb explosion in the video game. Can you
handle the task, or does Indiana find someone else brave
enough to handle the task? If you are ready to tackle
this task, click below to begin your adventure into the
world of logic, circuits, and Indiana Jones!
